We work alongside main contractors, architects and developers to deliver structural steel that's ready to install and fits first time. From detailing and load calculations in TEKLA to fabrication and craned erection on site, there's a single point of responsibility throughout.
Every package is fabricated to UKAS-approved EN1090-1 Execution Level 3 and delivered to your programme.
Execution Level 3 is the part worth understanding, because it is not a badge — it is an independently audited system covering factory production control, welder qualification, weld procedures and material traceability. It means steel can be traced back to its mill certificates, and that the CE/UKCA marking on the package is backed by records rather than an assurance. On a project where building control or a client's technical team asks for evidence, that documentation already exists.
Most of the risk on a steel package is in the connections and the setting out, not the sections. We detail and model in TEKLA and work from the engineer's design, so that holding-down bolt positions, base plates and connections are resolved before anything is cut — a column that is 20mm out is a crane sitting idle and a day lost. Where we are fabricating into an existing building we survey the real structure rather than working from the original drawings, because what was built and what was drawn are rarely identical.
We can take the whole package — design development, fabrication, delivery and craned erection with our own team — or fabricate to your engineer's drawings and leave the erection to you. Taking it end to end means one point of responsibility if something needs resolving on site, which on a tight programme is usually what decides whether a delay is an afternoon or a week.
