Stillages and handling equipment are where bespoke fabrication earns its money, because a container built around your actual product stacks better, travels better and lasts longer than a catalogue item you have to work around. We build to your part, your pallet and your stacking height — nesting or stacking empty to save return-leg space, with forklift entry on the axis your drivers actually approach from, and drop-fronts or removable gates where picking speed matters. Where units go into a closed-loop delivery cycle we fabricate a matched batch so they interchange across the fleet.
Access steel is governed by the work-at-height duty rather than by preference. Walkways, platforms and access stairs need guarding, toe boards and a stair pitch appropriate to how often they are used and what is being carried up them — a daily maintenance route and an occasional inspection point justify different solutions. Cat ladders suit infrequent access to plant and roofs, and we fabricate them with hoops and, where the design calls for it, provision for a fall-arrest system.
In a live warehouse the constraint is nearly always that the operation cannot stop. We survey around racking and traffic routes, fabricate off site, and phase installation into shutdowns, night shifts or a sectioned-off area so that picking and despatch keep running. Mezzanine column positions are set around your aisles and MHE turning circles rather than on a convenient grid.
