One fabricator, very different problems
The steel is often similar from one sector to the next. What changes is everything around it — the standard the work is held to, the finish it has to carry, and the programme it has to fit into.
A balustrade in a school is designed against stricter guarding requirements than the same balustrade in a house. A staircase in a restaurant is judged on its welds and its finish because diners sit a metre away from it. A mezzanine in a live distribution centre has to be installed without stopping the picking operation, and its columns have to land where your aisles and forklift turning circles allow. A construction package stands or falls on whether the connections and holding-down bolts were resolved before anything was cut.
We work across all of them from our Peterlee workshop, UKAS-approved to EN1090-1 Execution Level 3, designing and modelling in TEKLA and installing with our own teams throughout the UK. Choose the sector closest to your project for the detail that actually applies to it.
