Steel Columns & Posts
Universal columns, posts and support steel with base plates and connections — fabricated to EN1090-1 Execution Level 3 and installed as part of frames, extensions and mezzanines.
Columns and posts carry the load down through a structure, and getting the base plates, cap plates and beam connections right is what makes a frame go together cleanly on site. We fabricate universal columns (UCs), hollow-section and fabricated posts, complete with base plates, stiffeners, cleats and the drilled or welded connections your engineer's design calls for.
They form part of full structural frames, extension goalposts, mezzanine supports and canopy structures, or as individual replacement and strengthening posts in existing buildings. Steel is supplied primed, painted or hot-dip galvanised to suit the environment.
All columns are detailed in Tekla, fabricated to EN1090-1 Execution Level 3 and CE/UKCA marked, with material traceability and test certificates provided.
We can design, supply and install as a package, or fabricate to your engineer's drawings for others to erect.
