Steel Fabrication for Self-Builders & Extensions
Steel beams, goalpost frames and posts for home extensions, loft conversions and wall removals — made to your structural engineer's calculations and ready for building control.
Removing a wall, building an extension or converting a loft almost always needs steel. We fabricate the beams (RSJs / universal beams), goalpost frames, posts and connections from your structural engineer's calculations and drawings, so the steel that turns up is exactly what building control has approved.
Turnaround matters on a self-build, so we keep it quick — most domestic beams and frames are fabricated in days, drilled for your engineer's bolt details, and primed or galvanised ready to install. We can supply cleats, base plates, padstones guidance and fixings so nothing holds up the brickwork.
Everything is made to EN1090-1 and supplied with the material and execution documentation your building inspector will ask for. If you are not sure exactly what you need, send us the engineer's drawing and we will take it from there.
We deliver across the North East and, for larger orders, nationwide — either to your site or to your builder's yard.
