Steel Staircases
Commercial and industrial steel staircases — straight flights, dog-leg and switchback stairs, access and platform stairs — designed, fabricated and installed to EN1090-1 and current building regulations.
A steel staircase is one of the most hard-working elements in a building, and we make them for every setting — straight flights, dog-leg and switchback stairs, external access and escape stairs, platform and plant stairs, and feature staircases where the steel is on show. Stringers, treads and landings are fabricated to suit, with chequer-plate or open-grating treads for industrial use or infilled treads where a finish is applied.
Every staircase is designed to meet the going, rise, handrail and guarding requirements of the Building Regulations, and fabricated to EN1090-1 Execution Level 3 with the documentation to prove it.
Finishes match the setting: hot-dip galvanised for external and industrial stairs, powder coated or painted for interiors, and combinations with glass or timber for architectural feature stairs.
We design, fabricate and install with one team and survey on site so the stair fits first time. For spiral stairs and dedicated fire escapes, we have separate options too.
